Full Service Marina and Boat Repair yard on Northwest corner of Bayou Chico Barancas Bridge.
Since the early 1950s Brown's Marina, now named Pelicans Perch, has served the larger boat owners of Northwest Florida with distinction. Offering excellent service for many years the family continued that tradition after the passing of the founder, Capt. Shirley Brown, in 2006. Haul outs up to about 60 ft and a full service yard in an excellent location.

How long have you been in business?
This Marina has been in the same family for over 50 years.
What is your primary product or service?
All Marina and Boatyard services including engine sales & repairs, haul-outs, bottom painting and restoration, wet slips and dry storage, yacht transportation, supplies, generators, yacht brokerage and most anything else if it has something to do with boats!
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Capt. Shirley J Brown founded Brown Marine Service in 1958 and built a marina and boat yard on Bayou Chico. That Marina and yard is still in the same family's ownership but the name was changed to Pelicans Perch after Capt Brown passed away in 2005 and the ownership passed on to his son and daughter. Excellent and friendly service was Capt. Brown's motto and that's still followed today.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We're very friendly & I think we give a little "extra".
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
This is our only location.

Located on the north side of the Barrancas Ave Bayou Chico Bridge. On the West side of the bridge turn north on Weis Lane and take the first right.

Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Patsy Stokes and Bill Guttmann handle the day to day operations. Pelicans Perch is owned by W. Ted Brown and Shirley F Bryan, the son & daughter of the founder, Capt. Shirley Brown.
What are your hours of operation?
Generally 8 - 5 Monday - Fri but we will do emergency haul-outs
